Skid steer with the engine cover open for repair

What equipment does Jacksboro Services repair?

Tractors, compact track loaders, skid steers and farm implements — hydraulics, drivelines, PTO and three-point issues, electrical faults, cooling and fuel problems, and attachment repair. This is mobile field service: we come to the machine. We run this equipment every day and maintain our own, which is most of the reason we can help with yours. We also do our own welding, so a cracked bracket and a leaking cylinder on the same loader is one visit, not two contractors.

What we work on

Skid steer with the engine cover open for repair

Hydraulics

Leaking cylinders, blown hoses, slow or dead circuits, pump and valve trouble. The single most common reason ranch equipment stops earning.

Drivelines & PTO

PTO shafts and shear protection, three-point hitch problems, u-joints, and the noises that mean you should stop now rather than later.

Compact track loader working a brushy fence line

Electrical faults

Starting and charging trouble, corroded grounds, dead sensors and the intermittent gremlins that only show up when you are far from the house.

Utility tractor of the kind used for pasture shredding

Implements

Shredders and rotary cutters, blades and gearboxes, box blades, augers, hay equipment and the attachments that take the real abuse.

Welding rig mounted on a trailer behind a work truck

Attachments & brackets

Bent or cracked buckets, forks, quick-attach plates and mounts — repaired, reinforced, or built new when repair is not worth it.

Aerial view of graded and terraced ground

Preventive service

Fluids, filters, greasing and the once-over before hay season or a big clearing push. Much cheaper than the alternative.

What a field call can and cannot fix

Most of what stops a machine on a rural place is fixable where it sits, and that is how we work — we load the tools and come to you.

Good candidates for a field call: hydraulic hoses and leaking cylinders, starting and charging trouble, corroded grounds and dead sensors, fuel and cooling problems, PTO and three-point issues, cracked brackets and buckets, and most implement repair. On a lot of these you are working again the same day.

Harder in a pasture: anything that needs the machine split, lifted or held true — into a transmission or a final drive — and anything that will genuinely take more than a day. A half-apart machine sitting out in the weather is nobody's friend, particularly with rain coming. Work like that we schedule separately and talk through with you first, and sometimes the honest answer is that it belongs at a dealer with the proprietary diagnostics for it.

Call and describe the symptoms. We will tell you which of those it sounds like before either of us spends money finding out.

Questions people ask us

What brands do you work on?

Most of the common farm and compact equipment you find on a North Texas place. Where a repair genuinely needs proprietary dealer diagnostics or specialty tooling, we will say so rather than take your money learning on your machine.

Do you come to me?

Yes, for field service across Jack, Palo Pinto, Young and Wise counties. There is a call-out component to the pricing that reflects the drive, which we will tell you about up front.

Can you weld a cracked bucket or loader arm?

Yes. That is one of the advantages of a shop that both runs this equipment and welds — see mobile welding and fabrication. Cracked buckets, broken brackets and worn quick-attach plates are routine work.

Do I have to bring the machine to you?

No. We come to you — this is mobile field service across Jack, Palo Pinto, Young and Wise counties. We do not have a yard for customers to drop equipment at.

How fast can you get to it?

Depends on the season and what we are in the middle of. Hay season and the winter clearing stretch are the busy ones. Call — if we cannot get to it quickly we will tell you that straight rather than string you along.

Is it worth fixing or should I replace it?

We will give you an honest read. There is a point on an old implement where the repair bill stops making sense, and we would rather tell you that than bill you for it.

Where we work
