Does Jacksboro Services install or repair septic systems?
No. We do not install, repair, pump or inspect septic systems. On-site sewage facility work in Texas requires a TCEQ OSSF licence, and we do not hold one. If you need septic work, your county environmental office keeps a list of licensed installers for your area — that list is the right place to start. What we do is land clearing, dirt work, excavation and trenching.
Why we are saying so plainly
It would be easy enough to leave a septic page up that implies we handle it. Plenty of contractors do. We would rather you knew before you called.
Septic in Texas is genuinely licensed work. An on-site sewage facility has to be permitted through the county or an authorised agent, designed for your soil and your household size, installed by someone holding a TCEQ OSSF installer licence, and inspected. A system put in outside that process is a problem when it fails and a bigger one when you try to sell the place. It is not work to hand to whoever has a machine — including us.
If we are on your property doing dirt work and something looks wrong with your septic, we will tell you what we saw. We will not touch it.
Questions people ask us
Can you dig the tank hole or the drain field?
No. The excavation for an on-site sewage facility is part of the licensed installation — it has to match the permitted design and be inspected as installed. That work belongs to the licensed installer, and they bring their own machine.
Who permits a septic system around here?
On-site sewage facilities are permitted through the county or an authorised agent operating under TCEQ rules, and a site and soil evaluation is part of the process. A licensed installer handles that for you — it is one of the things you are paying them for.
